Call for Papers

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

Researchers, service providers, employers, unions and business representatives are invited to submit abstracts for oral presentations or poster sessions. Priority will be given to proposals with an emphasis on action-oriented research, including emphasis on existing policies, programs and interventions relating to: best practices; employer implementation of programs; tools and resources; addiction issues; and knowledge translation. Abstracts from researchers involved in partnerships with workplace stakeholders, employers, employees, or unions are encouraged. Abstracts in both French and English are welcome.

CONFERENCE FORMAT

The conference will be held over 2 days, and will comprise featured plenary presentations, concurrent sessions (1-2 hours in length, consisting of 20 minute oral presentations/ symposia grouped by theme areas; panel/ roundtable discussions; or workshops). Poster sessions will also be featured. Please see the conference website for further details on submission guidelines.

Papers/Symposia

Papers comprise individual presentations that will be allotted a minimum of 20 minutes for oral presentation. Presentations will be grouped in sessions according to theme areas by the Scientific Committee. Individuals are also encouraged to submit a symposium, which would be a focused session comprising 3 to 4 separate presentations, with an identified moderator.

Panel/Roundtable Discussions

Panel/roundtable discussions will provide an opportunity for interactive discussions and unique perspectives structured around research priorities, knowledge transfer, and new and emerging themes within the area of workplace mental health and addiction.

Workshops

Workshops will be 1 to 2 hours in length, and should focus on teaching direct skills and application of theory, tools & policies to workshop participants in an interactive fashion.

Posters

Posters offer an opportunity for presentations on specific research findings and showcasing of workplace policies or programs. An award will be presented at the conference for the best poster submitted by a student.
